Best stretching exercises to increase height

There is no scientific evidence to support the idea that stretching exercises can increase height in adults. Once the growth plates in the bones have fused, which typically occurs around age 18 in females and age 21 in males, there is no way to make the bones longer.

However, good posture can give the illusion of increased height. Stretching exercises can help improve posture by increasing flexibility in the muscles and joints, which in turn can make a person appear taller. Some stretching exercises that can help with posture include:

The Cat-Cow stretch: Start on your hands and knees with your wrists under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. Arch your back up towards the ceiling as you inhale, and then round your spine as you exhale.

The Downward-Facing Dog: Start on your hands and knees with your wrists under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. Lift your hips up and back to form an inverted "V" shape with your body.

The Cobra Pose: Start lying face down on the floor with your hands beside your chest. Push your upper body off the floor, straightening your arms and lifting your head.

The Child's Pose: Start on your hands and knees with your wrists under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. Sit back on your heels and reach your arms out in front of you.

The Seated forward bend: Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. Reach for your toes and relax your head towards the knee.

It's also important to maintain good posture throughout the day, so to have optimal height results.

It's important to note that Stretching should be done in moderation and should be a warm-up exercise before any physical activity, it's not recommended to do any extreme stretching routine. Consult a doctor or a physical therapist if you have any concerns about your flexibility or any pain while doing the stretches.
